Thorns is an influential Norwegian black metal/industrial band formed in 1989 (as Stigma Diabolicum) by Snorre W. Ruch. Known for pioneering a unique, heavy, and technical riffing style that shaped the genre, they released influential demos like Grymyrk before their cult-classic 2001 self-titled debut.
