Waxahatchee

Waxahatchee is the indie music project of American singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield. Named after a creek near her childhood home in Alabama, the project began in 2010 as a solo, lo-fi endeavor. Her debut, 'American Weekend', was recorded in a week in her bedroom. Over six albums, her sound has evolved from raw, acoustic confessionals to a fuller band-oriented indie rock on albums like 'Cerulean Salt' and 'Out in the Storm'. With the critically acclaimed 'Saint Cloud' and its follow-up 'Tigers Blood', she embraced a celebrated shift into a refined alt-country and Americana sound, cementing her status as one of the most vital songwriters of her generation.
