Weakling

Weakling

Weakling was a short-lived American black metal band formed in San Francisco in 1998. [1, 13] The group produced only a single full-length album, 'Dead as Dreams,' which was recorded in 1998 but released in 2000 after the band had already dissolved. [1, 2] Their sound was defined by long, complex, and atmospheric compositions that merged the raw aesthetics of Norwegian black metal with a sprawling, progressive, and psychedelic sensibility. [7, 11] Despite their brief existence and lack of touring, Weakling's lone album became a foundational and highly influential recording, shaping the trajectory of the United States Black Metal (USBM) scene.
