Originally intended to be their debut full-length before internal issues caused their label to piece together existing demo tracks without their permission, this release is legendary within the extreme metal underground. Beherit's primitive fusion of chaotic, grinding instrumentation and terrifying, guttural vocals birthed the incredibly abrasive 'war metal' subgenre. The album's famously unpolished, infernal sound set a benchmark for unrelenting savagery in the second wave of black metal.
