Collecting a series of highly praised 12-inch singles released on the Klang Elektronik imprint, 'Textstar' is an absolute cornerstone of the early-2000s microhouse movement. Jan Jelinek, operating under his Farben alias, masterfully utilized microscopic, clicking samples of classic soul and jazz to craft incredibly warm, deeply syncopated electronic grooves. The compilation heavily redefined the textural possibilities of minimal house music.
