Paris-born, London-based bassist, singer, and composer Amy Gadiaga bridges old-school jazz traditions with modern soulful rhythms. Her music fuses the influence of jazz legends like Betty Carter and Wayne Shorter with the contemporary sounds of neo-soul and R&B, exploring themes of self-discovery, cultural pride, and community. Gadiaga, born to parents of Senegalese, Gambian, and Malian descent, uses her art to celebrate her West African heritage and advocate for women in jazz.
