Standing as a pioneering milestone in the development of sample-based post-rock, this visionary release saw the British trio drastically alter their creative approach. They utilized newly acquired digital samplers, often triggering them via traditional rock instruments, to create incredibly dense, disorienting sonic collages. The dizzying, plunderphonic arrangements radically expanded the possibilities of the standard guitar-rock format.
