Opressionismo
by Holly Hood
'Opressionismo' concludes a decade-long trilogy from Portuguese rapper Holly Hood, built around his concept of "offensive poetry”—a direct, often confrontational lyrical style inspired by ancient Greek poets. The album's hip-hop and trap soundscapes feature intense, sincere delivery and sharp bars, with lyrical themes centered on survival, lucidity, and the harsh wisdom gained from street life. As the culmination of a long-term artistic evolution, the project is a deliberately solo affair, intended to complete a cycle and serve as a self-contained work.
