Sounds of Decay

Produced closely with Mikael Åkerfeldt of Opeth (who also provides all harsh vocals), this brutally heavy EP served as a temporary return to the band's death-doom origins. The three tracks are incredibly bleak and suffocating, completely devoid of the cleaner, gothic-rock melodies that the Swedish group had begun exploring on 'Brave Murder Day'. It marks the definitive end of their extreme metal era.
