Classical Music

A broad term for art music produced or rooted in the traditions of Western culture, including both liturgical (religious) and secular music. It encompasses a wide historical span from roughly the 6th century AD to the present day, characterized by formal structures, complex instrumental and vocal arrangements, and a system of musical notation.
