My Sweet Lord / Isn't It a Pity

by George Harrison

Produced with Phil Spector utilizing his massive 'Wall of Sound' technique, this track famously blends the Christian 'Hallelujah' with the Hindu 'Hare Krishna' chant to promote religious universalism. It became the first number-one single by an ex-Beatle following their breakup. However, Harrison was subsequently sued for unconscious plagiarism due to the melody's striking similarity to The Chiffons' 1963 hit 'He's So Fine'.
