Get Back / Don't Let Me Down

Stemming from the 'Get Back/Let It Be' sessions, this single represented an active effort by the band to strip away studio psychedelia and return to raw, live rock and roll. It marks the only time the band explicitly credited a guest musician (keyboardist Billy Preston) on a single release, a testament to his stabilizing influence during highly tense recording sessions. The B-side, 'Don't Let Me Down', is a desperate, impassioned plea from John Lennon to Yoko Ono.
