Album Notes & Community Reviews
Embracing a sleeker, more commercially viable sound, 'Rockin' Into the Night' marks the moment 38 Special successfully pivoted from their gritty southern rock roots to polished arena rock. The soaring, highly melodic title track proved to be a massive breakthrough, establishing a radio-friendly formula that would yield immense mainstream success. It solidified their status as premier architects of late-seventies AOR.
