Album Notes & Community Reviews
Leaving Interscope to release this album independently, the iconic New York rapper attempts to reclaim the gritty, boastful energy of his massive early-2000s commercial peak. 'Animal Ambition' relies on highly polished, heavily synthesized trap and pop-rap beats to underscore his trademark slow, menacing vocal delivery and endless tales of wealth and street survival. The record serves as a remarkably straightforward, unapologetically boastful gangsta rap statement.
