Album Notes & Community Reviews

Emerging from the Chicago independent scene, the band's debut full-length intertwines the aggressive dissonance of post-hardcore with complex, shifting post-rock song structures. '(It (Is) It) Critical Band' utilizes prominent, driving piano melodies that contrast sharply against abstract guitar noise and frantic drumming. Brian Case's enigmatic vocal delivery further enhances the highly technical, experimental atmosphere.
