Album Notes & Community Reviews

Moving decisively away from the bright, upbeat dance-pop of their debut, a-ha crafted a remarkably dark, highly atmospheric, and sweeping synth-pop record. Morten Harket's soaring, intensely passionate vocals deliver deeply poetic, bittersweet lyricism over lush, dramatic synthesizer arrangements. 'Scoundrel Days' is a profoundly melancholic, epic, and highly introspective pop masterpiece.
