Album Notes & Community Reviews
Arriving eighteen years after their previous effort and completed following the death of Phife Dawg, 'We got it from Here… Thank You 4 Your service' is a poignant and densely layered final album featuring the posthumous verses of the founding member. Q-Tip’s production honors the group's signature jazz-infused sound while incorporating rock-inspired textures and a wide array of samples, creating a backdrop for politically charged lyrics that address social unity and legacy. The record functions as both a tribute and a passing of the torch, uniting longtime collaborators like Busta Rhymes with an intergenerational cast including Kendrick Lamar, André 3000, and Jack White.
