Album Notes & Community Reviews

Built around the monumental success of its romantic title track, Aaron Neville's debut album is a defining document of New Orleans rhythm and blues. Neville鈥檚 impossibly delicate, vibrato-laden vocal delivery is set against rich, shuffling horn arrangements and the deeply pocketed grooves characteristic of Louisiana soul music. The record established him as one of the most unique and emotive vocalists of his generation.
