Album Notes & Community Reviews

Bouncing back from prior commercial missteps, Martin Fry and Mark White embraced early house music rhythms and polished blue-eyed soul to craft a remarkable comeback. 'Alphabet City' features a sleek, heavily synthesized urban sound dedicated to the nightlife of New York. The immaculate production successfully modernized the band's sophisticated pop sensibilities for the late eighties dance floor.
