Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating within the darker fringes of the Neue Deutsche Welle, the Hamburg outfit crafted a distinctly bleak and mechanical post-punk atmosphere. 'Der Westen ist einsam' integrates rigid drum machine rhythms and grating, metallic guitars with deeply cynical lyrics detailing urban decay and Cold War paranoia. It remains a foundational text for the German industrial rock and darkwave movements.
