Album Notes & Community Reviews

A deeply atmospheric collaboration between Angela Conway and Wire's Bruce Gilbert, 'One of Our Girls' is a stunningly hypnotic, minimalist masterwork. The record pairs Conway's detached, ethereal vocals with sparse, repetitive drum machine patterns and shimmering, textural guitar feedback. Its icy, surreal dream-pop aesthetic heavily foreshadowed the shoegaze and ethereal wave movements.
