Get Guilty

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second solo album from the New Pornographers frontman delivers a masterclass in buoyant, densely arranged power pop. Newman's distinct knack for complex melodic hooks is bolstered by elaborate orchestrations, including strings, brass, and choral backing vocals. The recording maintains the infectious, upbeat energy of his primary band while allowing for more idiosyncratic, personal songwriting.
