Album Notes & Community Reviews

Taking a brief detour from his primary role as the mastermind behind The New Pornographers, Carl Newman delivers a hyper-melodic solo debut. The record distills his complex, hook-driven songwriting into sharp, effervescent power pop, relying heavily on vocal interplay, driving acoustic guitars, and warm, intricate arrangements.
