Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released alongside a companion short film and podcast, this ambitious multimedia project from the acclaimed composer and producer serves as an unapologetic, educational critique of systemic racism in America. The album features Younge's own spoken-word narration layered over immaculate, retro-soul and jazz-funk orchestrations. It operates as a vital, deeply conscious historical essay structured as a sprawling suite of psychedelic soul.
