Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Big Thief frontwoman stepped away from her band to record a stunningly intimate, acoustic-driven solo record. Characterized by her intricate fingerpicking and distinctive, trembling vocals, the project features early, stripped-back versions of songs that would later appear in her band's catalog. It acts as a highly vulnerable, beautifully autumnal folk masterpiece exploring themes of mortality and profound human connection.
