Album Notes & Community Reviews
'The Spiritual Sound' expands Agriculture's ecstatic black metal foundation by integrating elements from shoegaze, post-hardcore, and progressive metal, establishing a dynamic juxtaposition of intense, distorted passages and moments of melodic tenderness. The self-produced album explores themes of suffering, joy, and queer history, with its celebrated dualistic nature often attributed to the complementary songwriting approaches of Dan Meyer and Leah B. Levinson.
