Recorded at Rudy Van Gelder's studio, Airto's 'Fingers' captures the energy of early 1970s fusion, blending jazz, Brazilian rhythms, rock, and funk. The album features a diverse group of musicians, including Airto's wife, Flora Purim, on vocals and percussion, and Hugo Fattoruso contributing keyboards and harmonica. Driven by Airto's dynamic percussion and anchored by the interplay between Brazilian and American jazz influences, 'Fingers' reached number 18 on the Billboard Jazz Albums chart.
