Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Brazilian percussionist's debut for the CTI label is a joyous, highly rhythmic excursion that seamlessly blends American jazz-funk with traditional South American grooves. Featuring stellar contributions from heavyweights like Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett, the session radiates a warm, improvisational energy. It was instrumental in defining the burgeoning world-fusion movement of the early 1970s.
