Melinoë

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named for the Greek goddess of nightmares, 'Melinoë' realizes its thematic horror through a seamless fusion of atmospheric black metal and enveloping dark ambient textures. The album’s compositions, centered on lyrical themes of parasomnia and sleep paralysis, are defined by swarming, high-pitched tremolo guitars and euphoric, terror-filled shrieks that clash with martial drumming. This dense, layered production creates a suffocating yet hypnotic sonic environment that is both meticulously crafted and frighteningly chaotic, serving as a distinct entry in the esoteric black metal canon.
