Album Notes & Community Reviews
Serving as the debut full-length for the legendary Japanese vocalist, 'Prologue' introduced a formidable new presence to the rapidly expanding idol pop market. The album balances upbeat, lightly synthesized pop-rock with melancholic ballads, propelled by her distinctively mature, lower-register vocal delivery. It laid the critical groundwork for a career that would profoundly define the 1980s Japanese music industry.
