Album Notes & Community Reviews

Produced by Jay Graydon, 'This Time' was the crucial crossover vehicle that transformed Al Jarreau from a respected jazz vocalist into a mainstream R&B superstar. The album wraps his stunning vocal acrobatics and scat-singing prowess in slick, highly sophisticated yacht rock and pop-soul arrangements. The pristine studio polish yielded the international hit 'Never Givin' Up'.
