Album Notes & Community Reviews

Scottish singer-songwriter Al Stewart's debut, 'Bed Sitter Images', surrounded his vivid, literary folk narratives with dense, cinematic orchestral arrangements. Produced by Roy Guest and scored by Alexander Faris, the album leaned heavily into baroque pop, often overwhelming Stewart's delicate acoustic guitar work. Despite this imbalance, it introduced his penchant for detailed, observational storytelling.
