Album Notes & Community Reviews
Transitioning away from the confessional intimacy of his earliest folk recordings, the British singer-songwriter's fourth studio album introduces a more polished, pop-oriented rock backing. Featuring prominent guest appearances from Rick Wakeman and Brinsley Schwarz, the intricately crafted narratives begin to showcase the historical and cinematic storytelling that would later define his platinum-selling work.
