Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released just a year prior to his death, the twelfth and final studio album by the iconic French singer is a masterful, deeply poetic meditation on mortality and memory. Backed by elegant acoustic instrumentation and subtle country-folk flourishes, his gravelly, spoken-sung baritone delivers some of the most moving, profound performances of his legendary career. It swept the Victoires de la Musique awards and stands as a monumental swansong.
