Album Notes & Community Reviews

Collaborating once again with lyricist Jean Fauque, the iconic French rock chameleon delivered a darkly cinematic, highly atmospheric masterwork. Heavily integrating cold, nocturnal synthesizers and sparse, dub-influenced production, Bashung's deep, gravelly voice navigates surreal poetic narratives, firmly establishing his status as the vanguard of modern French chanson.
