Figure imposée

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following his massive commercial success, the idiosyncratic French rock artist took a deliberate, deeply uncommercial detour with 'Figure imposée'. The album heavily embraces the icy, synthesizer-driven textures of coldwave and minimal synth-pop, providing a bleak backdrop for his cryptic, poetic lyricism. The record alienated his mainstream audience but cemented his reputation as a fearless, uncompromising avant-garde visionary.
