Album Notes & Community Reviews

Following his departure from The Animals, keyboardist Alan Price formed his own ambitious ensemble to explore a sophisticated blend of British R&B, theatrical music hall, and orchestral pop. 'A Price on His Head' features intricate horn charts and witty songwriting that highlight his distinctively sharp, literate artistic vision. The release stands as a brilliant, if underrated, gem of late-60s British pop orchestration.
