Album Notes & Community Reviews
A purely instrumental programme for Celtic harp, 'Renaissance of the Celtic Harp' moves from Breton pieces such as 'Ys' and 'Marv Pontkalleg' to Welsh harp music drawn from seventeenth-century manuscripts in Arnold Dolmetsch's transcriptions. It won the Grand Prix International du Disque of the Acad茅mie Charles Cros, with Dan Ar Braz contributing electric guitar, and it inspired a generation of players to take up the Celtic harp.
