Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded over just two nights of completely unscripted improvisation, three massive icons of the American underground converged for a legendary, late-night jam session. Alan Vega's heavily distorted, stream-of-consciousness rockabilly vocals glide ominously over Alex Chilton's jazzy guitar textures and Ben Vaughn's minimalist drum machines. The deeply atmospheric, entirely spontaneous recording beautifully captures a unique intersection of synth-punk, blues, and southern gothic dread.
