Album Notes & Community Reviews

Released solely in Canada prior to her massive global reinvention as an angst-ridden alternative rock icon, this sophomore album showcases Alanis Morissette immersed entirely in mainstream teen pop. 'Now Is the Time' relies on highly polished, synthesized dance beats and New Jack Swing rhythms. The album suffered a significant commercial decline compared to her debut, ultimately leading to her dismissal from MCA and prompting her pivotal move to Los Angeles.
