Album Notes & Community Reviews

An intensely emotional recording of a landmark twelve-tone string quartet, navigating the complex intersection of rigid serial techniques and profound autobiographical longing. The ensemble masters the severe, fragmented dissonance and sudden lyrical outpourings that define the composer's deeply expressive approach to modernism.
