This historic release marks the world premiere recording of the complete, three-act version of Berg's brutal expressionist masterpiece, with the final act orchestrated by Friedrich Cerha. Conducted brilliantly by Pierre Boulez, the complex twelve-tone score mirrors the libretto's descent into depravity, violence, and social ruin.
