Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded at the Fillmore Auditorium with a devastatingly funky backing band, this Stax release captures the imposing bluesman bridging generational gaps with the hippie counterculture. King's biting, unorthodox string-bending technique and commanding stage presence heavily educated the onlooking British and American rock guitarists of the era.
