Album Notes & Community Reviews

Alberta Hunter's 'Amtrak Blues' belongs to the remarkable late-career revival that brought her back to recording after decades away from the commercial spotlight. The album highlights her wit, timing, and blues-jazz phrasing in a small-band setting that foregrounds personality as much as repertoire.
