Album Notes & Community Reviews

Neige's debut as Alcest pioneered the 'blackgaze' genre by blending black metal tremolo picking with the dreamy textures of shoegaze. The album is light, nostalgic, and fairy-tale-like, devoid of typical metal aggression. It captures the essence of childhood innocence and otherworldliness.
