Train on the Island

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded in collaboration with long-time producer John Parish, the album continues the artist's exploration of surrealist lyricism and unconventional vocal deliveries. The arrangements utilize woodwinds and nylon-string guitars to create a sparse, theatrical atmosphere. The collection of songs functions as a series of abstract character studies, further refining the idiosyncratic folk style established on her previous studio efforts.
