Album Notes & Community Reviews
Reuniting with producer John Parish at Rockfield Studios in Wales, the New Zealand songwriter's fourth full-length further refines her idiosyncratic, minimalist approach to folk-pop. The record is characterized by its exceptionally sparse arrangements鈥攐ften relying solely on a piano or acoustic guitar鈥攁llowing her highly elastic, shape-shifting vocal performances and abstract poetry to dominate the mix.
