Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut full-length from the Scottish band effectively coined the 'pirate metal' subgenre, leaning incredibly hard into maritime fantasy and swashbuckling aesthetics. Utilizing synthesizer-driven sea shanty melodies, accordion patches, and chugging power-metal riffs, the record is unabashedly campy, focusing primarily on drinking anthems and high-seas pillaging. It became a wildly successful, heavily polarizing novelty hit within the European metal festival circuit.
