The Australian provocateur delivers a remarkably slick, 1980s-inspired pop record entirely written from the perspective of deeply flawed, often repulsive male archetypes. The album's bright, shimmering saxophone and synth-pop arrangements intentionally clash with hyper-explicit, darkly satirical lyricism regarding toxic masculinity and internet culture. Featuring vocal contributions from Angel Olsen, it acts as a brilliant, uncomfortable pop masterclass.
