Album Notes & Community Reviews
On his major-label debut 'Headlights', Alex G channels Americana influences through a refined, clearer production style that retains his signature experimental spirit. Co-produced with Jacob Portrait, the album balances polished, often acoustic-driven arrangements featuring strings and banjo with moments of surreal storytelling and vocal manipulation. Thematically, the songs explore maturation and memory with a characteristic blend of earnest, accessible folk-rock and cryptic, reality-bending lyricism.
